LLC, Walt Bitler a
well-respected full time mediator, and the owner of the Northeast Conflict Resolution
Services, LLC. is a trained mediator and facilitator and has extensive experience in
the many areas of ADR , family mediation & the construction industry and is available
to businesses and private citizens to resolve disputes without having to resort to
litigation. Disputes in Personal Injury, Divorce, Child Custody arrangements, Real Estate,
Health Care, Education, Employment, Business and other areas can be resolved quickly,
inexpensively and without the time, expense and stress involved in a law suit..
He
serves as Chairperson of the Consumer Section of the Association for Conflict Resolution.
He is a Certified Professional Mediator and Certified Mediation Trainer (Vermont
Mediator Association) and serves on the ABA Dispute Resolution Section as well as the
Forum Committee on the Construction Industry and the Board of Directors for New England
ACR . Walt works with the Vermont Superior Court, mediating commercial, contractual,
construction and home-owner disputes, and brings years of significant experience.
As a
former land developer, hotel operations manager, resort and restaurant owner, experience
in human relations in the work place, advocate in the health field, as well as not for
profit organizations, he brings a multiplicity of skills and familiarity to your mediation
table. He empowers the parties to find innovative solutions that allows the parties to
sustain control of the dispute and cultivate economical solutions for affirmative
conclusions.

Areas of ADR in the Construction
Arena
NCRS offers the construction industry vital assistance ranging
from executing and facilitating land acquisition; and works with the Master Developer in
many areas of the project as requested. Areas of participation could be: the design,
structure and hiring of the on-site development team; facilitating and obtaining all
necessary governmental permits and entitlements; coordinating and managing project
sub-contractors and outside consultants including but not limited to architects,
engineers, environmental specialists, and government officials.
Industrial/Commercial/Residential:
construction defect, architectural malpractice, defective construction, leaking roofs,
defective foundations, delays in construction, product delay, wrongful termination,
landscape construction, area preparation and infra structure, on site injury, additional
work, failure to complete, design defect, environmental issues, and fire causation and
loss.

EDUCATION
He has had extensive training both locally and in the national
arena. Walt has completed initial and advance mediation training at Woodbury College, Montpelier,
VT while completing the program as a paralegal. Also, Walt has participated in
master courses at the Boston College of Law and Vassar College, and most recently attended
Pepperdine University of Law for advance training in Complex Construction Dispute
Resolution. Additionally he has attended Southern Vermont College for Hotel Resort
Management and Alfred Colleges for Turf management. Walt also attends several
hundred hours yearly of continuing educational courses in many areas of mediation skills
as well as programs relating to family issues, small business concerns and the
construction industry.
